Spare Change Giving — Everything You Need to Know

What is spare change fundraising?

Spare change fundraising is an automated roundup program. Connect a card or bank account, and every time you make a purchase, we round up the spare change to the nearest dollar. At the end of each weekly cycle — provided the total is over $10 — GoodChange transfers your accumulated spare change to your chosen recipient(s).

How do I sign up?

Go to the fundraiser page of the campaign you want to support and look for the spare change option. Setup takes less than 3 minutes.

Will it affect my bank's own roundup program?

No. Setting up spare change on GoodChange will not disrupt or affect any roundup savings programs you have with your bank.

How many organizations can I round up to?

As many as you'd like. Go to each campaign's landing page to set up a separate roundup for each one. GoodChange tracks all your recipients in one place.

Can I use a different account to pay than the one I'm rounding up from?

Yes. You can monitor transactions from one account (your round-up account) and have the weekly contribution pulled from a different account or card (your payment account).

Can I set a weekly limit?

Yes. If you want to cap how much your spare change total can reach in a given week, you can set a limit during signup.

How do I cancel a roundup?

Log in at goodchange.app. Navigate to your dashboard, scroll to the Round Up Donations section, select the roundup you want to cancel, and click Cancel. Done.

Can I use more than one card to round up?

Yes. Sign up again to connect an additional debit card, credit card, or bank account and start a new roundup from there.

Is my information secure?

Yes. GoodChange uses bank-grade security. For spare change specifically, we only collect the amount of each transaction and the date it occurred — we use this to calculate your contribution total. Refunded transactions, banking fees, and credits are never included in the calculation.

I was asked to verify my identity by email. Is that normal?

Yes. We use multi-step verification during account setup to meet high financial security standards. This is expected and protects your account.

What if I was charged the wrong amount?

Email us at support@goodchange.app and we'll issue a refund.

Who is Level Wins?

Level Wins is GoodChange's parent company, based in Little Rock, Arkansas. You may see Level Wins branding during the Stripe setup process — this is expected and normal.
