Running a Pledge Campaign

A pledge campaign lets you collect commitments from donors who plan to give — and then follow up with them automatically to turn those pledges into actual contributions. It's ideal for matching drives, end-of-quarter pushes, and long-lead fundraising.


How pledge campaigns work:


  1. You set up a pledge campaign in your dashboard with goal, dates, and settings.
  2. Donors pledge an amount — they commit now without paying now.
  3. GoodChange tracks the pledge and runs an automated workflow to follow up: reminders, confirmation emails, and ultimately a payment link when it's time to collect.
  4. As pledges are fulfilled, the pledge dashboard updates in real time.


To set up a pledge campaign:


  1. Log in and click into your active campaign.
  2. In the left-hand navigation, click Add Ons, then click Pledge Chaser.
  3. Follow the steps to sign up for Pledge Chaser.
  4. Click Create Pledge Campaign.
  5. Fill out the details: name, goal amount, start/end dates, and follow-up workflow settings.
  6. Save.


Tracking and exporting:


From the pledge dashboard you can see every donor who's pledged, who's paid, who's outstanding, and the total raised. You can export a CSV of all pledge data at any time from the pledge dashboard.
