How To: Build Smart Fundraising Forms

✅ Step 1: Go to Your Dashboard


  1. Log in to your GoodChange account.
  2. Click “Fundraisers” in the left-hand menu.
  3. Select “Create New Fundraiser” (or “Edit” if you’re updating an existing one).


📝 Step 2: Fill In the Essentials

Fundraiser Title

  • Keep it short and action-oriented.
  • Example: “Join Team Alexis — Founding Donors Wanted!”


📝 Fundraiser Description

  • Briefly explain what the fundraiser is for.
  • Share how the funds will be used, and add urgency if possible.
  • Mention any giving levels or key campaign moments.


🖼️ Step 3: Add Your Cover Image

  • Recommended size: 1920 x 1080 pixels
  • Leave space around the edges—avoid placing text or faces too close to the borders.


  • Navigate to the “Marketing Links” tab in your dashboard.
  • Create a custom tracking link for each audience or outreach method (email, text, social media, etc.).
  • This helps you measure what’s working and adjust as you go.

Adding Compliance/Finance Rules


  • Disclaimers: Toggle ON or paste your custom disclaimer in the box provided.
  • Contribution Rules: Make sure the standard rules are visible—these are required by law.
  • Contribution Limits: Enter the correct legal limit (include both primary and general if needed).

  • Keep your copy donor-focused – use “you” language to emphasize their impact.
  • Make your goal public when appropriate if your goal is time-sensitive or dollar-based—it boosts conversions.
  • Include testimonials or campaign quotes if you have them.
  • Preview your form before publishing—double-check mobile view too.

Once everything looks good, click “Publish”. Your form will go live immediately, and you can start sharing your marketing links.
