# Connecting Zapier

Zapier lets you send GoodChange events to thousands of other apps — email platforms, spreadsheets, CRMs, Slack, you name it. Use it when a direct integration doesn't exist or when you want to trigger custom workflows on new donations.

**To connect Zapier:**

1. Log in to Zapier and create a new Zap.
2. For the trigger app, search for **GoodChange**.
3. Choose the trigger event you want (for example, **New Donation**).
4. When prompted, sign in to your GoodChange account and authorize Zapier.
5. Pick the campaign and event to listen to, then click **Test Trigger** to pull a sample record.
6. Build the rest of your Zap — the action app and what happens when a new donation comes in.

**Common use cases:**
* Append new donations to a Google Sheet
* Post new donations to a Slack channel
* Add new donors to Mailchimp or Constant Contact
* Trigger a thank-you text via Twilio
